In early July of 1947, something crashes in Roswell, New Mexico. The military claims it's a weather balloon. Witnesses insist they've seen bodies of aliens, and the wreckage of a UFO.
Sixty-eight years pass. On September 15th, 2015, an incident involving the Roswell wreckage escalates into a massive nuclear exchange between Russia and the United States, leaving five billion dead. Another eighty-three years have passed. It's 2098, and project T.I.T.O.R. is a reality. Hop machines are created by top quantum physicists Ephraim Caine, Jeff Waldron, and Rose Rios. These complex crafts are designed to do one thing penetrate the time barrier. Time is short. Earth; wounded, post-apocalyptic, with her dwindling resources on the verge of exhaustion, can barely support life. Project T.I.T.O.R. has a singular focus to send hop crews back through time, and find some way to stop the nuclear exchange. To save the Earth.
After more than two hundred routine missions, one goes awry, and the hop machine and its crew tumble from the sky. Hop 206 crashes near Roswell, New Mexico, in early July of 1947. In a mind-bending twist of fate, they've inadvertently set off a series of events that, if unchecked, will culminate in a nuclear war, and the slow, agonizing death of their living planet.
They've triggered the precise scenario T.I.T.O.R. was meant to preclude. With everything stacked against them, can they succeed in changing history? Or will time prevail, blocking every effort to change it, and eliminating humanity in the process?

TITOR a very imaginative and well-written Sci Fi that captures the reader from the first page! I listened straight through! J.M. Surra does a fabulous job of weaving a tale full of strong and engaging characters, through a multi-era time line. This is a personal tale for the protagonist and his friends, as they journey through the broader scope of humanity's past and future. It takes the reader into a world reminiscent of The X-Files or First Contact. The protagonist is so endearing, even those not usually drawn to Sci Fi would find it a great read! Would love a sequel too!!Product details

John Titor, is this his story or one youve made up?
Many pages spent on lovers' argument. Science fiction part is OK. However, the major problem to be solved in the plot is left hanging.
I couldn't put this one down.
It was ok. Interesting take on an interesting subject of John Titor. It was a fictional account based on his name. Nothing great but worth the time

T.I.T.O.R. is the name of a project initiated by the U. S. Government in the gradually deteriorating post-apocalyptic world. The abbreviation stands for Temporal Integral Tactical Operations and Recovery. Its objective is to identify "precise moments in time, points of possible divergence where a wrong path was taken, or perhaps the wrong person died. Hop (a type of time) machines and their crews traveled back in time to `tweak' the specific situation and events connecting perceived errors with a focus on improving the future." In this manner they hoped "to give the world a second chance to identify the cause or causes of war and hopefully change them."
The story is based on an incident that happened several decades ago in Roswell, N. M. At that time, the remains of a `flying object' crash were discovered that provided credence to the existence of extra-terrestrial life. The author apparently has examined at length the existing records of the material recorded at the time and has set forth a depressing but entirely believable tale of government action to dissuade attribution of credibility even to the existence of the crash remnants as being from outer space or `another world'. From this reader's position of having been alive and closely following the details of the incident, the story is especially riveting. However, readers who have not had this past experience, still will find the tale to be a most interesting and enjoyable experience that is, perhaps, far more thought provoking and relevant than most of the Sci-Fi genre. A book that kept me reading late into the night, I had already read chronicles of a time traveler and this presented some new alternative answers to what john titor was or could have been.
